Privacy Policy
Short version: Curling Ice does not sell your data and does not require an account to play. An account is only needed for online multiplayer. We collect the minimum information needed to make the app work. The app may display occasional ads served by Google AdMob (Android app) and Google AdSense (website) to support development.
1. Who we are

2. What we collect
We collect different information depending on how you use the app:
No account — practice and local play:
- Nothing. No personal information is collected or transmitted.
- Game data (scenarios, settings, tutorial progress) is stored locally on your device only.
With an account — online multiplayer:
- Username — chosen by you, used to identify you in matches.
- Email address — used for account creation and login only.
- Match history and game statistics — stored to support online features.
- Device push token — only if you grant notification permission, used to deliver match notifications.
Automatically collected (all users):
- Basic error and crash information to help us fix bugs — this does not include personal data.
3. How we use your information
- To operate online multiplayer and match matchmaking.
- To send game notifications (only if you opt in).
- To improve the app and fix issues.
We do not sell or share your personal information for profiling. The app may display ads served by Google AdMob (in the Android app) and Google AdSense (on the website); Google may use cookies or device identifiers, including the device Advertising ID, to serve and measure ads. See section 9 below for details. You can manage your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- Service providers — infrastructure and hosting services necessary to run the app, bound by confidentiality.
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
5. Data storage and security
Account data is stored on secured servers. Local game data (scenarios, settings) never leaves your device. We retain account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.
6. Children's privacy
Curling Ice is a sports simulation suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is fully functional without an account — no personal data is required to play, practice, or use the tutorial.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at privacy@liap.ca and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your rights
You may at any time:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent for push notifications (via device settings).

8. Cookies and tracking
On the website, Google AdSense may set cookies to serve and measure ads. In the Android app, Google AdMob uses the device Advertising ID rather than cookies for the same purpose (see section 9). No other third-party trackers are used. The website may also store functional data (such as login session tokens) in browser storage to keep you signed in.
9. Advertising (Google AdMob — Android app)
The Android app displays ads through Google AdMob, an advertising service operated by Google. To serve, cap, and measure ads, AdMob and Google may collect and process:
- Your device's Advertising ID — a resettable identifier Google provides for advertising.
- IP address, from which an approximate (coarse) location may be derived.
- Ad interaction data — such as ads shown, taps, and general app activity used to measure ad performance.
This information is shared with Google as the ad network, and where applicable its advertising partners, to deliver ads. Depending on your device settings and any consent you provide, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. We (Moo Labs Canada) do not receive or store your Advertising ID ourselves.
You control this:
- Reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Manage ad preferences at adssettings.google.com.

10. Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
Notifications in the Android app are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a Google service. This only applies if you grant notification permission.
When you opt in, the app registers a device push token (an FCM registration token) and an associated Firebase installation identifier. We store this token and link it to your account so we can send you match and reminder notifications. Google processes the token as part of delivering each message to your device.
We use the token solely to deliver notifications you have opted into, never for advertising, profiling, or sale. You can withdraw consent at any time by disabling notifications in your device settings or signing out; the token is then no longer used and is removed from our records on the next sync. 11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Significant changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
